An international residency project carried out in cooperation with the Slovak K.A.I.R. (Košice Artist in Residence). Its aim is to build a space for the integration of Wrocław’s communities and cultural institutions through various artistic activities. The initiative focuses on exploring the possibilities offered by design and workshop graphics, which, thanks to their versatility, can effectively connect seemingly distant communities within the framework of creative activities.
As part of the project, Zuzana Kutašová has teamed up with Teraza Sejková, with whom she is co-founding BRUT.TO from 2019 – a creative platform that brings together people with disabilities and professional graphic designers to create bold, thoughtful visual works.
During the 2 month residency artists will conduct a series of workshops using both design and workshop graphics techniques with the community around Galeria ArtBrut, as well as City Gallery Studio and Klubokawiarnia Recepcja. The results of the work will be presented at an exhibition as part of the Backyard Festival 2025, which will be the culmination of the whole project, at the end of June.
Project partners: K.A.I.R., Artbrut Gallery, City Gallery Studio.
