Workshop about Korean stories
Are you fascinated by Korea? Maybe you have travelled there, maybe you dream of going, or maybe you are simply curious about Korean culture. Perhaps you have brought back an object from Korea, or you own something that makes you think of it. Or are you Korean and living in Wrocław?
What object makes you think of Poland? And what object makes you think of Korea? It could be food — pierogi or mandu, for example — a piece of fabric, a key ring, a vase, a souvenir, or anything else that connects you to one of these places.
Bring your objects and your stories, and share them with us.
Together, we will create new, hybrid objects, mixing elements from Polish and Korean culture through collage and photography, and taking inspiration from Polish and Korean folk art
The workshop is open to all ages. No previous artistic experience is needed.
Everyone is welcome!
The workshop will be led by Marilyne Grimmer, experienced visual artist and scenographer, whose practice brings together storytelling, photography, participatory art and playful creative activities.
Registration: airwro@instytutkultury.pl
The event takes place as part of an artistic residency by Marina Marilyne Grimmer, which is part of the activities of the MagiC Carpets platform, co-funded by the Creative Europe programme. The event is organized by the Wrocław Institute of Culture.
