Nature in the city is one of the themes that has been with us in Barbara the longest. This is thanks to our collaboration with biologist Łukasz Iwaniuk—a wonderful teacher and educator who talks about Wrocław’s flora and fauna with passion and a healthy dose of humor.
We currently invite you to get up close with our animal and plant neighbors primarily during walks. We start our nature excursions at Barbara, from where we take the tram out into the field. We prove that a short ride on public transportation is all it takes to go from the city center to the “wild.”
In 2026, the excursion program will be complemented by a nature workshop. We are also planning a special trip on a vintage bus to the outskirts of Wrocław. In case of bad weather, we invite you to family lectures at Barbara.
We invite all nature lovers to join us in exploring nature, especially children aged 6–12 accompanied by their guardians.
