Our international project aimed to foster creativity and courage in the culture sector and to provide space for reflection on new formats for residencies and cross-border collaborations.
“What’s next? Safe cultural multi-spaces for the multidisciplinary reflection of (post)war and (post)crisis European identity” was a collaborative effort created by five organisations from four countries: Romania, Germany, Austria, Ukraine and Poland. Within the framework of “What’s next?” these organisations created safer work and meeting environments for artists, cultural managers, activists and citizens in five European countries.
Together, we organised activities on a slightly smaller scale (educational events, meetings and programs for local cultural institutions, etc.), carried out international residencies in each country, to create journals in the form of texts and audiovisual materials, as well as a multidisciplinary “FINAL LAB: (Post)crisis identity of European culture – what’s next?” laboratory in Wrocław.
Partners of the project: Gabrieli Tudor Foundation (Romania), MitOst (Germany), MUSIKTHEATERTAGE WIEN (Austria), proto produkciia (Ukraine), Wrocław Institute of Culture (Poland) and zusa (Germany). Co-funded by the European Union.
