From February 5 to 26, we invite you to submit your cross-border projects and elevate your cultural journey to new heights with Culture of Mobility financial support. Whether you’re planning a residency, a networking visit, or showcasing your work internationally, we’re here to help your mark resonate globally!

This is the eighth edition of the Culture of Mobility program! It is invariably addressed to people from Wroclaw and Lower Silesia’s cultural field: artists, curators, managers, activists, animators, researchers of culture, who individually or in groups want to carry out their projects abroad this year.

Important! You can apply not only if you plan to go on a residency or study visit. Individuals (and groups) intending to participate in foreign art reviews, festivals, conferences or other events and projects through which they will be able to develop their skills, present their work and build international relations are also invited to participate. Starting in 2021, applications for networking trips to attract partners are also accepted.

Winners applicants will receive financial support of up to PLN 3,000 gross for travel and/or accommodation expenses. Anyone interested can apply – regardless of age, education or experience. A person or group applying for support may submit a maximum of two applications at once.

HOW TO APPLY?

• applicant’s CV (as for groups, the applicant’s CV and shorter biographies of group members are required in the application form)
• motivation letter (in the application form)
• invitation / confirmation / letter of intent from a foreign partner confirming participation in a given event, project, residence or study visit (there are no templates for such a document, it should be formal and describe the nature of the cooperation; to be attached in the application form) or a description of the networking trip (detailed trip plan with the indication of people and institutions, organizations, events with which the applicant plans to establish a partnership)

DEADLINES:

Recruitment for this year’s edition of Culture of Mobility will continue until February 26. Results will be announced on March 14, and trips should take place between March 10 and December 10, 2024. Applications in Polish and English can be submitted via an electronic form, which will be available until February 26 at: www.instytutkultury.pl/kultura-mobilna.

CONSULTATION:

Before you submit your project through the form, it is worth consulting it with us. This will help you avoid formal errors and check whether your trip fits within the framework of the program. You can send questions and concerns throughout the call to: kulturamobilna@instytutkultury.pl. We can also make an appointment for an online or live interview at Barbara, the headquarters of the Wroclaw Cultural Institute. Go ahead and contact us on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. – the coordinators ask you to contact us in advance and arrange a visit by email as well.

Culture of Mobility program is implemented as part of one of the pillars of the Wroclaw Institute of Culture’s activities, #SUPPORT. Its task is to support the mobility and promotion of artists from Wroclaw and Lower Silesia, and through this to build and strengthen international cultural relations.
